Scratch that...reverse it.
I've been keeping busy and some really exciting things are happening,
but unfortunately not much i can share just yet because they are actual jobs, not just me fuckin' around. IMAGINE THAT!
But also...as i am slapped in the face with the cold NYC winds and fighting hibernation, I am putting together a personal winter to-do list and setting deadlines for them with actual rewards and punishments. Last time I lost a bet with myself, I ended up shaving my own head, so
This list will include but is not limited to:
1. Boobie Trap Cartoon
2. morgue-anne.com website revamp
3. Morgue Anne cartoon and/or comic strip
4. ES&D Apparel
Just have to make the schedule and come up with the rewards system
But just so this post isn't boring...
I did made this video tribute to my favorite softball league in the entire universe though.
It will make you laugh, cry, and perhaps make you want to play softball.

What can we ever truly understand without experience? Life has taught me many things...good, bad, beautiful, and ugly and I'm rather ambivalent about trying to answer what any of it actually means. I would be much more interested in discovering the method behind the madness. Not why things happen, but how. As much as i want to believe in pure chaos, coincidence, and free will...my actual experiences would have me believe in something else. Not a god, not a conscious puppeteer, definitely not predetermined fate, but that space and time is being woven in a certain direction based on every single thing you do or don't do. That each choice you make alters your destiny and your life is an infinite spider diagram of destinies to choose from. I've always felt a certain magical quality about when things happen, or when opportunities arise, like you are sending out a beacon of energy into the universe and it is responded to at just at the right time for you to accept it. Maybe part of the magic is being aware enough to recognize such things. But moments like that leave me in absolute awe of how beautiful and enchanting life is.

So i was at some really lame bar the other night and in mid conversation that I had no investment in, I see this guy out of the corner of my eye wearing a tshirt with a terrible clipart graphic of a shoe on it and it said "Not all those who wander are lost".  I was a little mesmorized, completely lost where i was or who i was talking to, and smiled. I couldn't place the quote but i knew that i had heard it before. It was just weird, like in that moment I felt that i was meant to read that and that something so slight, so seemingly insignificant, and so easily overlooked had affected my mood for the rest of the night...and still thinking about it. I could rant about all that this quote made me think about then, but it all kind of ties into the same philosophies behind following your heart and believing that it will lead you someplace worth being.

Having finally looked it up, very pleasantly reminded that it's from Lord of the Rings :-)

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.
So inspired, it will now live forever on my arm:

Trying...again....to work on learning animation and indefinitely aiming for very ambitious projects instead of starting with something easy...I give you a sneak preview of what i hope will become a 30-60 second very short, yet quirky cartoon. I've been watching a lot of Looney Tunes lately and instantly fall in love with everything about them. I notice the backgrounds a lot, so i hoped to capture an archaic version of their beautiful watercolory detail. I'd also love to be crazy enough to say that my characters are creepy and fun like Ren and Stimpy-ish, but I'm a super beginner so cut me some friggin' slack.

My 1st background

Mother of Samsons

Mother of Samsons > Mother of Dragons

My twist on all of the Kahleesi's fan art. It took forever, but I'm super happy with the way this came out.

Not to mention this illustration has 4 of my favorite things (Though maybe not in this order)
1. Game of Thrones
2. Samson
3. Boobs
4. Fire

Daenerys looking apprehensive as ever, and baby Samson as the three dragon pups each displaying one of his adorable personas. Jerk Samson is clawing over her shoulder, annoyed at his lack of special attention. Sleepy Samson nuzzles comfortably in the most inconvenient place, while goofy Samson is doing for he does best.

Everyone's favorite cartoon characters: Morgue Anne & Peppertin.

If you are familiar with my "real" website www.morgue-anne.com then you have seen my little cartoony butt doing a few silly mad scientist things already. Peppertin is my caricature for my adorable lab assistant that is always mistreated and can be quite quirky while accomplishing all the actual work that i take the credit for.

This was the 1st post I did with these characters, although i have adapted a little more humanistic vibe to my character and my drawing skills have improved iiiiiimmensely! I really debated making my skin fleshy and adding a hint of boobies, but dammit I'm keeping the antennae! I'd like to think I'm distantly related to Marvin the Martian.

I figure Peppertin's masochistic tendencies keep him loyal to Morgue Anne no matter how terrible she treats him and how little credit he gets, but sometimes JUST SOMETIMES he concocts a plan to overthrow her.  So here's a rough sketch i did some time ago and had posted previously here

Damn you, Peppertin knowing all my weaknesses.

Here is the inking from Illustrator. Mmmm clean lines.

And here's the final rendered in photoshop.

Smush The Bug

Don't you ever feel like your efforts are futile? That you are, at most, a tiny inconvenience to the inevitable foot stomp.
Smush Mush understands.

After the inking and some better framing...

Finished Rendering.

Little Smush deserves a close-up.

Really starting to embrace my creepy drawing style.
Eventually we will have to arrange a beauty pageant with Princess Stinky and Bunny Bunny and all of the other disturbing characters I come up with.

Too far?

My take on Romeo & Juliet, for what is sadder than a zombie longing for Death...

Cartoon Mania

Continuing with my creepster crossdressing trend...
If you really hate your kids, Princess Bunny Bunny is available for birthday parties!

Nothing is more romantic than crawling out of a grave for the one you love!
Perhaps I will illustrate him for the 2nd worst holiday ever.
I wanted to build this illustration as a scene instead of just a character with an abstract background, so as you'll see below, the Juliet character will eventually be added, although her sketch needs a little more pizzazz put into her in the inking stage!

Last but not least, here's a panel of everyone's favorite characters, Morgue Anne & Peppertin.
Damn you, irresistible ice cream sundae!

Kickin' it old school for Chris!

Why were we taking these pictures? Could it be that I briefly thought that disposable cameras were the best invention ever? Or maybe just as proof to our future selves that we were, in fact, awesome. My room was kind of like walking into a Spencer's gifts on an acid trip after it was just trampled by a few dinosaurs.
"Hi I'm Chris"
Nice hat!
Not only a glimpse of Chris in his "I know Kung Fu" outfit, BUT the amazing shocked/horrified face of a guy who's girlfriend just showed up at your house with a shaved head.
This is how 11 cokes look in the backseat of a Mercury Sable.
The infamous 11 cokes picture.
We were way too cool to go to prom like normal kids. I make my own fucking limo.
Quick, guys. Let me take awkward photos of you in front of the house before you go!
And at Chris' house too!
We are kind of adorable though...
Prom a couple years later too! Dyaaamn.
